Elizabeth Carbide Components Doubles Manufacturing Facility in Latrobe, PA.

Elizabeth Carbide Components announces the completion of their manufacturing facility expansion, which includes an additional 22,500 sq. ft. of new construction. This doubles the capacity of the manufacturing floor space in Latrobe, PA.

The new construction allowed for an expansion of the main machining department, and for added manufacturing equipment. The EDM Wire department has quadrupled in size to facilitate product demand. A modern separate finishing room and a state-of-the-art inspection room was also configured in the new space. Other employee facilities were designed into the floor plan to meet the needs of the additional workforce.

“Doubling the size of our manufacturing facility allows us to increase our capabilities and operate more efficiently by adding the necessary floor space needed for additional equipment and resources needed to meet our production demands today and in the future, “ said Joe Smola, Elizabeth Carbide Components Plant Manager.

“We are making the commitment to our current and prospective customers by positioning ourselves to facilitate the increased demand of the Elizabeth Carbide Components products,” said Ken Plunko, Elizabeth Carbide Components Sales Manager.
